We are filmmakers with nearly twenty years of experience in media and communications. We have two teenage boys, live in Minnesota, and love food, travel, history and sharing adventures on YouTube.

As parents who make a living on screens, we knew we needed a plan. How do we raise our boys in the digital age? We scoured the internet for help. We don't hand the keys of vehicle to our teens when they turn 16 and say, "Good luck." There's instruction, real-world practice, and testing. Yet we hand our kids and teens phones without a process.
The solutions that were offered seemed backwards, dividing families instead of uniting them. Tech companies try to partner with parents to control kids and teens. We wanted to partner parents with kids and teens to control tech companies.
So we created the resource we wanted. We founded Know Curtains in 2024 and created "Driver's Training for the Online World," a video-driven on-ramp for families and groups to learn and talk about AI, social media, gaming, and online safety.
We hope this resource brings your family together and prepares ALL of us for a lifetime of digital communication. Less screen time. More human connection.
