It has been a little over a year since we started Know Curtains, and in that time we produced our first online course and settled into a rhythm of Thursday morning posts with Driver’s Training stories, curated tech news with “The Know”, and “No Hype” commentary.
In February we were invited to lead two workshops at a parenting conference and since then we’ve had ten more speaking engagements. What started as a side project has been gaining momentum.
Two months ago at the end of a presentation in church, a high school teacher approached us. He handed us a $20 bill and shared personal words to thank us for our work and to encourage us to keep pushing forward.
That $20 bill is pinned to a wall in our office. It’s not only a constant reminder of everyone who has supported in some way… inviting us to speak, subscribing, or purchasing Driver’s Training for Social Media, but it’s also represents persistence.
In that same spirit we’re excited to share with you a roadmap of development and a peek at what’s coming your way in the next few months.
Just this week we finished the scripts for part one of two new five-part online courses… Driver’s Training for the Online World and a counterpart for faith communities. These courses are a comprehensive overview of the online world and outline five future-proof guiding principles for making decisions on what technologies we adopt and how we use them.
We’re also working on updating Driver’s Training for Social Media, and we’ve been researching and experimenting to produce Driver’s Training for Artificial Intelligence this winter. At the same time, we’re streamlining content distribution and bringing clarity to our online presence and pricing. Stay tuned for more updates on that soon.
Thanks to all who have subscribed, attended a live or virtual event, or purchased an online course. We’re grateful for your support and feedback, and we’re excited for what’s ahead in year two of Know Curtains!
